This is one of my dreams too - especially as a scientist, the Galapagos are an amazing place! I had no idea you could even eat piranhas!

Hola Michelle! I am posting this message from a town in the Ecuatorian Andes called “Nanegalito”. It is really small town, but they have room for 2 internet cafes——The connections is not so good thou. So, I’ll do my best to post photos during the next days, otherwise it will be until I go back home.
Hugs,
M

PIRANHAS??? Holy smokes! I didn’t even know they had them in the Galapagos!
I find it charming and amazing that you love Ecuador as you do, Melissa. When I was about 11 years old, I had to do a report on any country in the world. I chose Ecuador (which immediately deemed me weird among my more mainstream peers). I still remember the thrill and amazement of looking for information in encyclopedias and library books about the country. One thing in particular that enthralled me was the thought of foods I’d never heard of or even could imagine in taste, fruits with names and taste descriptions exotic to the ears. I don’t remember the names of the fruit but I still remember reading of one that was supposed to taste of ice cream. I greatly desired to visit the country as a child. The intensity of the desire has since faded but it was never completely lost. One day. One day…

Hello Melissa!
I’m sorry I haven’t been updating. I just started school again! Wow! Piranhas!!! That sounds so awesome! I’m searching and trying out some recipes for creamy almond soup. I had some before and it reminded me of almond pastry cream, but warm and milky. I put some raisins in mine at the time and it was just what I wanted in a winter dessert. When I get what I want, I’ll post the recipe! I hope all is well~ Good luck and have fun on all your adventures!!! ^___^

Happy Valentine’s Day Melissa! It sounds like you’re having loads of fun. I’m finally relaxing this evening after preparing some things ahead of time for Valentine’s Day. I’m making a garlic/oregano rubbed roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus for my sweetie:) For dessert I found a recipe for an awesome molten chocolate cake (it’s a cake on the outside with rich, pudding type filling inside) The batter was soooo silky (I had to lick the mixing spoon of course! I’m also making an Italian drink to go with dessert called a bilini. It’s crushed raspberries with sugar mixed with chilled champagne:) Sounds good doesn’t it! I’ll let you know how it all turns out:)
Have fun Melissa and God bless!

We keep them as pets (pirrahnas), but we have thought about eating them.
